Tips & Tricks for war
Some Tips and Tricks . . .
- Don't just select any team. Pick a team you know you can score points against. (Preferably beat.)
- SLOW DOWN. There is NO RUSH in choosing your opponent or the heroes you'll use.
- EXAMPLE: If they have two (2) purple (dark) heroes, you may want to choose a strong yellow (holy) hero. Just like the titan colors:
- Yellow is strong against Purple
- Purple is strong against Yellow
- Green is strong against Blue
- Red is strong against Green
- Blue is strong against Red
- This is also true of your troops. If you have strong troops, running a column of Yellow up against a Purple opponent can have an impact.
- EXAMPLE: If they have two (2) purple (dark) heroes, you may want to choose a strong yellow (holy) hero. Just like the titan colors:
- Choose your heroes to offset your opponent's heroes. (If they have a hero that has minions, see if you have one that steals, blocks, or destroys minions. If they have someone that steals mana, do you have a hero that BUILDS mana?)
- CHOOSE TEAMS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU CAN BEAT
- If there are no teams you can beat, then you need to be patient to score points.
- Wait for opportunities where partial teams are left. It happens in every war.
- IT IS ABOUT POINTS. If you rush into a battle against a team you cannot beat, you are wasting a flag.
- Try to get double digit points (at least 10) per flag.
- WORK THE BOARD in TWO WAYS:
- 1 - Use the troops like we mentioned above.
- 2 - Run troops up in empty slots. This is called using GHOST TILES and there's a video at the bottom of this page to show you how that works.
- EXPECT HEROES TO DIE IN BATTLE
- It's a war. Most times all of your heroes will not make it out alive. Do not panic. Keep calm, relaxed, and work the board and your heroes. We only ask that you try your best.
- DO NOT RUSH
- Take your time in moving tiles.
- Be strategic.
- Breathe.
- Relax.
- DO NOT get emotional. Nothing good ever comes from that.
