THE BENEFITS:
You earn experience points, you get loot, you have an easier / faster time leveling up heroes and troops.
This is FREE, however you can boost your loot by paying a fee. They show you what you get for the money you spend if you choose to do that, but IT IS NOT REQUIRED.
If you decide to pay at any point before you're done with your path, you will get ALL of the pay rewards from the start of the path.
